6/14/18 (Area Code Tryouts) - Uncommitted. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound backstop possesses loose hips that allow him to present a wide target when receiving. He showed clean footwork that worked in sync with his transfer which allowed his arm to exhibit carry to second base. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts square and balanced before utilizing a leg kick to work his hands down and back. From there his quick hands drive the barrel through the zone with some strength on a slightly uphill plane with a high finish.
5/26/18 - 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and turns hard on his lower half hitting off of a stiff front side. Demonstrated an ability to stay inside the baseball and present power as evidenced by a long home run to left-center field. Above average receiver with solid catch and throw skills.
4/10/18 - A lanky, projectable catcher prospect, Dissin has an exciting blend of promise and present ability. There is some polish to his game behind the plate, with quick transitions from crouch to chute. His pop time bands ranged from 2.09-2.19 in game and during warmups. The arm action is clean and quick. His hands are soft and he's nimble on his feet, doing a good job blocking the ball. Was crossed up on one pitch that allowed the run to score, his lone mistake over his seven innings on defense. Dissin's 6-foot-2 frame gives impression he will develop gap-to-gap power over the coming seasons, though he did not tap into it during the game. With added strength and continued development, Dissin could establish himself as a premiere backstop in his class.
