Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Strong/athletic 5-foot-10,170lb frame with two-way abilities, solid mound presence in a proportional build.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber with a short side rocker, pausing before an up-tempo, medium/high leg lift to the top of the stack; drove out on-time with efficient movement patterns, whipping the arm through a high ¾, quick slot that generated above-average spin numbers. Good actions on the deceleration side showing repeatability in the movements, as the FB entered the zone with some ride (20.3 inches max IVB, 85-85, T86 mph) and missed barrels above the hands. Landed a sharp 71-74 mph CB flashing huge HM (19 inches average) spinning up to 2441 rpms. A 74-76 mph SL featured hard, gradual bite across the plate, getting up to 27 inches of HM on one pitch. Countered using a commanded 76-78 mph CH with slight fade (75% zone rate via Trackman Baseball).
8/18/20
Physical: 5-foot-10, 175 pounds; strong, athletic build. 7.73 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even wide stance with slight bend in the knees; quick take back of the hands late in the load with a simple even stride. Average effort with lower half with direct swing path with some lift. Pull side approach, has ability to backspin the ball; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH. Defensively: Walks into ready position; laid back approach, smooth & fluid in his movements in the INF, can cover ground laterally. Clean, quick transfer; long arm swing, standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH. Pitching: Center rubber setup, side step into knee to belt leg lift; a methodical & compact motion, uses lower body strength to push off the rubber & jump at the hitter; slightly closed stride with max effort release. Long arm action, standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: Peak velo of 81 MPH, while sitting 80-81 MPH. Gets decent carry on his fastball. CB: 68-71 MPH. 11-5 rotation, tight late break with nice combination of horizontal break & depth. SL: 71-73 MPH. Thrown slightly harder than CB with less depth. CH: 74-76 MPH. Gets very good fading action.
7/15/20
Physical: Strong and sturdy 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with athleticism present in the movements. 7.69 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with a slight bend in the backside knee as the hands showed controlled rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a short leg kick stride in order to initiate a smooth and efficient, slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Displayed plenty of hand speed at impact with a short time to contact and ability to lift the ball to the left side of the field. Demonstrated a mature approach at the plate with advanced rhythm throughout the swing, was consistently on time at the front of the plate and hit 100% barrels during batting practice. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 91 mph per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary third baseman played low to the ground with easy, smooth movements at the hot corner. Repeatedly beat the ball to the spot with a feel for getting downhill on the approach and stayed low with the center of gravity through the fielding window. The arm played admirably across the diamond from a fluid, high ¾ slot. Made the play on the run with ease and featured advanced range to the glove hand side. 3B - 81 mph
Pitching: RHP - Works left side of the rubber with a deliberate, short rocker step and gets slightly above the waist with the leg lift, generated quality direction out of the stack with solid lower half drive towards the plate, the arm worked with quickness through a smooth, high ¾ slot. The FB appeared from 80-82 mph showing high spin (2219 RPM’s) and mixed in a well above average 71-73 mph CB displaying 11/5 shape and two plane action for swing and misses. Commanded a 74-76 mph CH with occasional arm side run getting some deception at the plate.
