Physical: Muscular, athletic 5-foot-9, 155lb frame with RTF. 7.71 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance, as the feet offset slightly at the start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Sat back on the rear leg to create space and let the hands fly through the finish (two-hands). Recorded a T88 mph bat-exit velocity, 84 mph AVG and showed some drive towards the LCF gap on occasion.
Defensively: The third baseman approached with choppy feet, then letting the ball travel before funneling in softly to the waist. Average pace and released from a H ¾ slot across the diamond with some feel around the bag (76 mph arm, accurate).
2/27/21
Physically: 5’9 150lb RHP/3B ran a 7’64 laser timed 60 yard dash. Young frame has room for continued development.
Offensively: Starts narrow and tight with his hands to his body. Uses a small upper body coil to create some load up and power. As the barrel works into the hitting zone his upper body creates a slight lean back towards his rear leg.
Defensively: Keeps his movements simple, playing with two hands out in front of his body. Keeps feet in motion after the catch and uses a glove tap to create rhythm and timing on his throws across the infield.
Pitching: Slow and deliberate windup, create some power in his power half as his hands separate and he sinks into his rear leg. Works from a high ¾ arm slot and has an exaggerated follow through with his backside.
