1/20/19 - 5-foot-9, 155-pound right-handed hitter begins with a slightly-open stance and utilizes a bat-wiggle at the top of his load. Above-average back-hip separation leads to present-power to all fields and his 87 mph bat exit velocity was good enough for top-three at the event. Recorded a 4.51 home-to-first time. Plays low to the ground and moves well laterally consistently setting himself up for good hops during defensive evaluations. Arm had carry across the infield at 76 mph.
6/12/18 - 5-foot-9, 155-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a line drive approach and solid barrel awareness during his round of BP with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash and showcased sound defensive fundamentals with accurate 70 mph arm strength across the diamond. Showed ability to make the slow roller play look routine.
1/21/18 - Offensively, initiates swing from open set up with knee to knee leg kick and stride staying slightly open. A solid weight shift and excellent separation are present. Swing is short and hands are quick and loose generating considerable barrel whip in young player. Orr stays behind ball well creating solid leverage at contact. There is intermittent early front knee lock lending to uphill swing path. Overall projects as potential middle of the order power bat. An 86 mph bat exit velocity was recorded.
Defensively, plays ball out front and funnels with soft, confident hands. Demonstrates solid area quickness and range. Transfer is clean, throwing motion is long. Developing 76 mph arm strength may play on left side.
