Physical: Projectable, athletic 6-foot-3, 175lb frame with intriguing raw parts.
Pitching: RHP. Starts tall off the middle of the rubber; quick side-rocker step, as the hands maneuver over the head in rhythm. Showed hip-coil at the top of the stack, holding the line with natural separation into footstrike. Pitched comfortably at 77-80 mph (1793), cut on the FB, and mixed a well-supinated 65-69 mph CB across the plate. Added a commanded low-70’s CH for strikes.
6/14/22
Physical: Standout build at 6-foot-3, 175lbs with projection left. 7.28 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even, square stance, as the hands started with some forward tilt at the back shoulder. Utilized a toe-tap stride to initiate a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone with some bat-speed present. Peppered the pull-side gap with carrying line drives at T87 mph exit velocity, extending the arms from short-to-long to different zones. Mature approach that transferred to gameplay, active lower half in the box.
Defensively: The outfielder played behind the ball early with quality reads off the bat and momentum-gaining posture in the upper-half. Fielded softly out in front and delivered an 84 mph throw positionally.
Pitching: RHP. Starts off the middle of the rubber from a compact delivery. Power H ¾ slot with repeated pace into footstrike, blocking off the front side at release. Held every bit of 80-81 mph on the FB (1514) with bowling ball heaviness, mixing a hard-sweeping low-60’s SL to glove-side and fading 68-70 mph CH.
