6/12/18 Defensivley, Woodard demnstrates commitent to getting behind and playing through ball in the air.He follows throws while staying line. Arm strength of 76 mph existed on throws from the OF. Would benefit from consistently getting around ball on ground and playing off glove hand foot.
Defensively, at SS, hands are adequate and Woodward consistently works bottom up. Attacking baseball to create optimal angles and hops would be helpful.
Offensively, swing is initiated from a neutral set up with short stride staying neutral. Swing is short and hands work directly to baseball. Barrel feel was present in squaring of multiple balls. Weight shift is passive and early hand drift compromises separation. Back elbow leak in front of hands creates drag. A bat exit velocity of 76 mph was registered.
