Physical: Large, advanced 6-foot-1, 185-pound build. 4.49 runner in the 30YD.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, simple stance, as the hands started at the chest. Utilized a slower toe-tap stride to initiate a violent swing through a flat path into the hitting zone. Whippy finish produced multiple loud pull-side blasts; 36% FB rate, up to an estimated 290FT (T88MPH EV). Much more to come.
Defensively: The first baseman showed natural feel around the bag with choppy footwork and clean pocket awareness. Fielded in the center of his body and delivered a 78MPH throwing arm.
Pitching: LHP. Stays coiled on the backside with late acceleration down the mound. Some shoulder tilt on an 80-81MPH FB from H ¾ slot. Mixed sweeping 66-68MPH CB and quality low-70’s CH.
6/21/22
Physical: Lean, developing 5-foot-10, 150lb build with RTF. 8.63 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wider, balanced stance that gets into the legs, as the hands operate upright in front of the chest. Utilized a leg-lift stride/backload combo to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path towards a one-handed finish. Recorded a T84 mph exit velocity via Trackman with pull-side success when timed up at the front of the plate.
Defensively: The first baseman featured some likeable traits around the bag with balanced, choppy footwork and an accurate base on the approach. Fielded cleanly off his right side, delivering a repeatable throw across the dirt, up to 72 mph (H ¾ slot).
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw begins tall off the middle of the rubber; consistent pace with a deep side-rocker, getting the arm up on time for strikes at 71-74 mph (2131). Got around the CB for lateral shape in the 63-65 mph range. Loose with more coming.
