Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Physical: 5-foot-9, 145 pounds; Slender, wiry build. 7.74 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Closed setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a one-handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 85 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while choppy. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a low 3/4 arm slot. OF - 76 MPH. Pitching: Speranza uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Belt high leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride while landing open. Long arm swing without restrictions, while working through a low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 76 MPH, while sitting 73-76 MPH; arm side run with sink. SL: 66-69 MPH; 2-tier break.

Physical: Lean / athletic 5-foot-9, 140-pound frame with more to come as he adds strength; 8.15 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, up tempo setup with a bent, even stance. Utilized a quick leg lift stride in order to initiate the hands through a slightly vertical attack angle and into the hitting zone; plenty of line drive contact through the middle of the field during batting practice (42%) yielding high level bat to ball skills in the approach (79% peak on plane). Recorded a max bat-exit velocity of 82 mph which should see an uptick as he continues gaining more physicality.
Defensively: The primary outfielder will be relegated to a corner OF position at the moment due to footspeed, but showed off good reads off the bat and an early downhill chest position towards the target. Got momentum through the baseball and got the shoulders lined up, letting it rip from a high ¾ slot (75 mph).
Pitching: RHP - The righty started on the middle-right side of the rubber using an average tempo in the delivery, traditional windup with a belt high leg lift at the top of the stack, drop and drive technique on the way out with a sudden, quick movement from the arm dropping down to a low ¾ slot. FB ranged from 70-72 mph with up to 13.4 inches of HM from a low release height (4.98 foot average). Mixed developing feel for a 67 mph CB flashing short 11/5 shape on occasion.
