Physical: Well-put together, athletic 5-foot-10, 168lb frame. 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Open, coiled stance over the rear-hip, as the hands are slotted deep at the shoulder. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate an efficient swing through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Plenty of hand-speed at impact, delivering a pull-side approach while hitting behind a stiff-front side. Recorded a T95 mph exit (90 mph AVG) and worked up to a 363 foot distance with a high barrel %.
Defensively: The outfielder showed quality reads off the bat with ability to round the ball towards the target. Fielded off his right side and gathered for an 81 mph throwing arm from his position (H ¾ slot). Played low in the hips.
Pitching: LHP. Southpaw starts off the glove-side corner of the rubber; intentful pace with a full range-of-motion in the stack, finishing over the front-side. FB ranged 82-84 mph (1797) for strikes to the arm-side, mixing a sweeping low-70’s CB and commanded 72-73 mph straight-CH.
Floyd Mckenna: LHP/OF, (2023) Gateway, PA. 5-foot-10, 168-pound. In the box, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. (64.6 mph bat speed average). (20.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a quick load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was present, used a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 77 mph; had sure hands, a natural exchange, and consistent footwork. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.39. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed, he had a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph. Has running action. His 1/7 curveball (68-69) showed some action. He had slight action on his changeup (70-71).
