Physical: 5-10, 130 pounds; Slender, Lean build. 7.63 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 73 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while playing low to the ground. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 72 MPH. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Minimal leg lift with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while showing some scap load; side arm release. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 72 MPH, while sitting 68-71 MPH; arm side run with sink. SL: 62-64 MPH; tilting break.
7/13/22
Physical: Lean, developing 5-foot-10, 130lb frame. 7.95 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Wider, athletic stance, as the hands operated above the shoulder to begin. Utilized a big lift-and-replace stride to initiate the swing through a sweeping, uphill path towards the finish. Some weight shift-present into a soft front-side, allowing for a T75 mph exit velocity via Trackman. Posted a 44% fly-ball rate and got extended often to the pull-side.
Defensively: The primary backstop sat down in a traditional stance and received quietly on both sides of the plate. Pop times ranged between 2.43-2.48 from a wide base in the release, working up to 66 mph from ¾ slot. Will continue adding strength.
