Defensively: The first baseman showed off adequate feel around the bag with a soft funnel. Quality hips for size and got rid from a shorter ¾ slot when needed at 84MPH. Added an inside move on the double-play rep with a recovery back in time.
Pitching: RHP. Smail closed out Game 1 and touched 87MPH from a quicker tempo. Really maintained the hinge when driving down the mound and created life out of the sleeve (21 inch IVB). Wrinkled in a hard, lateral SL with 19 inch of HM to glove-side, spinning at 2202 rpms.
