Physical: Projectable, broad-shouldered 6-foot-1, 175lb frame. 7.68 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, square stance, as the hands operated loosely at the shoulder. Utilized a short leg-lift stride to initiate the swing through a slightly vertical path towards a higher two-handed finish. Liked to create leverage at the front of the plate, staying in the base for a T90 mph bat-exit velocity during his round (44% line drive rate) while working into the 312 distance range.
Defensively: The backstop showcased multiple setups in the crouch, alternating between traditional and left knee down. Pop times ranged between 2.12-2.22 with replaceable feet, taller posture, and a smooth finish from moderate H ¾ slot (70 mph).
2/27/21
Physical: 5’10 141lb C/3B ran an 8.26 laser timed 60-yard dash. Young athlete with a frame that has room to fill out and gain strength.
Offensively: Starts with a wide and athletic stance. Has a load that works together with his upper and lower body. Good swing mechanics with bat to ball skill that will play when strength is added.
Defensively: Active 1 knee down set up with the kick-stand stance. Throws out of an old school squatted stance. Uses the entire body to generate the power behind his throws. Has a whippy arm action.
