Physical: Advanced body at 6-foot-5, 218lbs with raw strength available.
Pitching: RHP - Deep drop step from the middle of the rubber; held pace and full arm-swing from a H ¾ slot. Good leverage over the front-side creating tilt on the ball and heavy action to the bottom of the zone. Repeated the delivery well towards the end of the ‘pen, landing an 86-88, T89 mph FB with good extension down the slope. Dropped in a sharp, two-plane 72-74 mph CB that played off the FB tunnel. A 77-79 mph CH has shown flashes at 1619rpms, clipping the zone at a 33% rate.
2/27/21
Physical: 6’5 215lb RHP/1B ran a 7.66 laser timed 60-yard dash. Has some impressive size and length that allows him to create natural power in his game.
Offensively: Maintains an upright stance throughout the swing and uses a slight barrel tilt to create timing in the hands.
Defensively: Uses long strides to approach the baseball. Arm works loosely when throwing to bases. Plays tall and uses length to advantage being a large target for fielders to make throws to.
Pitching: Pitching strictly out of the stretch, he uses very simple movements to create momentum towards the catcher. Arm works smooth and efficiently, over the top and downhill. One of the most impressive arms and frames in his class.
