Physical: The recent Clarion commit features a strong/compact 5-foot-9, 185lb frame with connected actions.
Offensively: LHH - Wide, balanced stance with the hands showing up and down rhythm off the shoulder to start; utilized a leg hang stride and quick/immediate barrel turn over the backside hip allowing for high intent swings and a 22% line drive rate per Trackman Baseball. Posted an 89 mph bat-exit velocity during his batting practice round producing a T72 mph bat-speed, which led to a 270 foot batted ball distance to the RCF gap. Feel for the barrel and on time with the load early in ball flight.
Pitching: LHP - Started from the middle of the rubber with a quick side rocker that held pace into leg lift (medium height) racing down the mound into footstrike with the chest/arm following in that order. High ¾, borderline OTT release getting hard arm-side run on a 79-82 mph FB (up to 11 inches HM). Mixed a two-plane 64-66 mph CB at a sharp 1/7 tilt, countering with a good 72-74 mph CH with sell out in front.
5-foot-9, 175-pound lefty sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact, repeatable delivery. Fastball showed some arm-side run and changeup at 71-73 showed similar fade with some late sink. Curveball lacks depth with 1/7 rotation at 68-69.
