Body Type: 6-foot, 155-pound frame with a ton of physical projection left.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Quick armed southpaw with an athletic presence out there. Delivery is efficient with some explosiveness to it.
Fastball: 78-81 mph. High spin rate guy who has much more in the tank.
Curveball: Spun one of the top breaking balls we saw on the day. The pitch works on a 1/7 plane with sharp, late action. Swing/miss qualities to it.
Changeup: 71-72 mph. More than playable pitch that is a quality third offering.
Pitchability: Filled it up.
Additional Comments: High follow for when he adds strength. Candidate for velo jump.
Body Type: 6-foot, 155-pound frame with a ton of physical projection left. Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Very fluid movements that sync well prior to launch. Hit: Long levert type with an aggressive stroke. Rotational sequence with upper half, showing developing natural tools. Much more to come as he fills out athletic frame. Upside bat to follow. Power: Flashed gap abilities. Much more in the tank. 91.8 was top exit velocity in BP. Offensive Projection: Run producer potential.
Field: Plays fast to and through in the outfield. Ball skills are above average for his class.
Throw: Throws from over the top with a fast arm. Loose and whippy arm that works with a lot of intent.
Defensive Projection: Multiple roles.
6/11/19
6-foot, 155-pound primary pitcher sat 76-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some cut to his fastball. Repeats delivery well with balance and a quick arm action. Curveball showed tight 1/7 rotation at 67-70. Also displayed a changeup at near fastball arm speed at 65-66. Worked three innings allowing three runs while striking out four.
7/11/18
Tall, thin pitching prospect that stands at 6-foot, 155-pounds. He really drives down the mound well with loose arm action. His arm acts as a whip to throw a fastball at 76-80 mph. Slider has tight break with 3/7 tilt at 65-67 mph. Changeup shows slight cut to it at 70 mph. DePalma has good upside as he matures and fills into his frame. One of the best outfield prospects defensively on the day. Defensively checks all the boxes of a corner outfielder. Would love to see in game but shows a feel for the position and ability to range in both directions. Above average ball skills with an arm that topped out at 81 mph. A left-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a leg kick for timing as hands stay simple throughout load. Aggressive swinger with a slightly downhill path. Loose swing with noticeable barrel whip. Ball jumps, especially to pull side. More to come as he adds strength to athletic frame. 60-yard dash: 7.36 Outfield Velocity: 81 Exit Velocity: 81
