6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and third baseman, lean, muscular build, ran a 7.64 laser-timed 60. Offensively, balanced setup, short leg lift stride, short hand load, finishes on back-side. Gap-to-gap type hitter with pull-side power, barrel works uphill through the zone, strong hands, looks to elevate the ball and do damage, some aggressive intent, 92 exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, arm works short and quick to a mostly over-the-top slot, showed the ability to drop slots for a quicker release, accurate on throws across the diamond. 83 across the infield. Fields position athletically, good body control, showed good range with fluid footwork, clean on transfers.
6/15/20
Physical: Strong and powerful 6-foot-1,180-pound frame with some athleticism in the movements. 7.36 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands starting high at the ear with some rhythm pre launch. Utilized a repeatable lift-and-replace stride as the timing mechanism coupled with slight hand movement back upon load. The swing is short to contact and works with authority through a slightly uphill barrel path. Generated consistent hard contact to the left centerfield gap during a loud batting practice round with present feel for a strong lower half. Hit into a stiff front side showcasing his hands through the hitting window allowing for an advanced 94 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: Plays low through the baseball in the outfield with quality footwork in the middle. Demonstrated feel for a quick first step with ability to make any play to his glove hand side. Showcased smooth transfers on timing plays creating a sub 4.20 pace during defensive evaluations and feel at shortstop. Soft glove hand played easily out in front scooping balls with regularity. Can throw from multiple arm angles on the run, using a power high ¾ arm-slot across the diamond with good extension at the moment. SS - 80 mph.
2/29/20

Hard contact from gap to gap. 85 MPH raw exit velocity. Defensively: Starts low and wide, uses a small hop for timing, could charge the ball better, soft, sure hands. Medium arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot. INF - 78 MPH.
