Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a flat swing path with a high finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing choppy feet. 6/14/22
Physical: High-waisted, projectable 6-foot-1, 175lb frame. 7.35 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Started slightly outside shoulder-width, as the hands worked flat over the backside. Utilized a small lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a direct path with lift in the finish. Recorded a fly ball approach mostly (40%), but squared up plenty of reps during his round, flashing a 60% sweet spot rate. Some raw parts with room to continue trending upwards at T85 mph bat-exit velocity.
Defensively: The outfielder showed off body control in space, able to get around the ball to his left and deliver an accurate throw at 72 mph. Natural reads with first-step quickness and uses longer legs to cover ground to the gap.
