Uncommitted. Truett looked stellar in his start this week. Lean frame at 5’11” 155lbs, with plenty of room still to fill out. He utilizes a short arm swing in his delivery, which adds deception as he releases from a lower ¾ slot. Throughout the outing, he worked the fastball in the 78-80 range, topping out at 81 with tons of sink and run. He filled the zone up and challenged hitters, leading to lots of weak contact and quick innings. Off of the fastball, he mixed in a slider that sat in the 70-72 range with gradual sweep. It paired great with the sinking fastball, and the 2 pitch mix kept hitters off balance throughout his outing. Good follow.
