10/08/17 Initiates swing from neutral set up with heel raise and no stride. Hands are quick and direct to baseball with excellent feel for barrel. Malecki stays behind baseball with good balance and leverage. Connects directly and on time with back elbow. Separation is limited by passive weight shift. Swing played in excellent round of bp and a bat exit velocity of 85 mph (swing mechanics suggest potential gains with improved separation).

Defensively, is decisive in OF reads. Malecki, routinely gets behind baseball and plays through. He demonstrates accurate arm and confidence/aggression in playing through ball on the ground. Projects as above average next level defender.

9/9/17 Physical 6-foot-3, 185-pounder participated solely in the 9:00 game. The right-handed hitter made loud contact in several at bats going 2-for-4 while showcasing a balanced swing and above average foot speed for a prospect his size (4.38 home-to-1B). Likely a corner outfielder at the next level, Malecki got solid reads on the baseball and flashed above average arm strength during game action.

7/8/15 6-foot-2, 175-pound average body frame. In the outfield he uses good footwork to approach the baseball. He fields ground balls with one hand out in front of his body, on his glove side. Throws with a short arm action coming from a high ¾ slot, reaching a top velocity of 75 mph. At the plate, the right handed hitter starts from a tall, upright stance. Uses short stride. Limited load in his upper half. Hands start at shoulder height with slight uphill path to the ball.
