2/20/23
Vieira continues to bring a mature approach to his game every time out. A strong 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame always seems to have a knack for the barrel with some loud contact to his pull-side. When he gets the ball in the air, it has carry (333 ft) and shows some juice (93.4 max EV). Behind the dish, he has gotten a lot quicker with his transfer and had a 2.00-2.12 pop time with a 74 mph C velo. Vieira would be an easy pickup behind the dish for colleges down south.
6/29/22
Vieira, a 5-foot-9 155-pound catcher for the Oshawa Legionaires showed off his tools throughout the day coming off an impressive week at the New York State Games. Behind the plate the actions were clean, footwork stood out with a top pop time of 2.09, arm action was short and quick with good accuracy on his throws. At the plate Vieira continued his impressive week with barrels to the gaps, stayed in his legs well with a flat bat through the zone. Has taken major strides in his game on both sides of the field as he has turned a lot of heads.

Viera, a 5’9 155lbs catcher looked good behind the plate throughout the day. The feet stood out with quick actions, had a fast transfer out of the glove with a short arm action. Had the best pop time on the day with a 2.14. At the plate the swing was smooth and easy with some pop off the bat in his round of bp. Lived mostly pull side with some solid barrels to the opposite field. Will be a name to look out for in the future.
4/15/22
Veiera continues to find himself in the top tier of catchers at every event he attends. The Oshawa catcher has a quick catch and release, coupled with a quick arm. Although he's a little undersized at 5-foot-9, 155-pounds, he continues to hit the ball hard as shown by his top exit velocity of 90 mph.
10/24/21
2024 Preston Vieira was easily one of the most intriguing underclassmen we saw in Oshawa where he really stood out at the dish. There’s quick twitch and a smooth, balanced swing from the right-side. His swing worked mostly up the middle and to the pull side with an exit velocity of 89, tied for third-best on the day. Defensively, he was best behind the dish where he had a pop-time of 2.15 and clocked in at 75 mph. The upside in his offensive game but his defensive side has come along well since last fall. He will be one to follow in the program going forward.
8/16/20
Young 2024 with present hand eye and bat speed from the right side of the plate. Is balanced throughout his swing and works from a small load in a good position to hit and is quick to trigger and contact points from a level path in his swing. The 83 mph exit velo speaks to the swing and quick twitch he has a 2024 grad. Defensively time, reps and polish will help Vieira on the other side of the ball but its the bat that opened our eyes on this day.
