At 6-foot-4, 175-pounds, MacNeil is a tall and lanky pitcher with room to fill out as he continues to mature and develop. On the bump, uses a hand-over-head delivery, with quick and clean arm action. Creates tough angle for hitters and effectively throws downhill. Generates sink on his fastball that sits between 82-83 mph. Slows down his delivery, especially evident in his lower half, when throwing his off-speed stuff. Shows some feel for changeup, with slight fading action to his arm side. Generates good depth on curveball that shows an 11/5 break and sits between 69-71 mph. Overall, the 2019 grad has a loose and quick arm, with the potential to add more velocity as he develops. Definitely a player to keep an eye on heading into the summer season.
