6-foot-3, 190-pound build, long, physical and athletic frame can carry more weight. Projects to have above-average strength and athleticism. Profiles as a right-fielder, strong arm, usually around bag. Tools needed to play the outfield, will continue to get better with reps. Been up to 6.49 running the 60, long strides, accelerates as he gets going. From the left-side of the plate, comfortable and under-control in the box. Patient approach, selective. Uses the whole field, understanding and feel to hit, makes adjustments, bat-speed and looseness in his swing, will hit at the next level. Ball jumps off his bat, has shown the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Recently won the home run derby at T12, drove the ball off the third deck. Power will be one of the stronger components of his game. No significant hole in his game, bat will be his carrying tool. Must watch position player in the 2020 draft class. Michigan commit.
7.10.18 Caissie continues to grow as a young 2021 prospect and gets stronger at 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Quiet setup from the left side of the plate, showed in-game power this summer and ability to use the whole field. Strength is the biggest tool missing which is natural for age, the actions all play defensively and Caissie has a chance to be a smooth swinging left-handed hitting outfielder and one of the top prospects in his class for a long time to come.
11.3.17 - Caissie, a young 2021 shows upside and promise with a long 6-foot, 145-pound frame that is sure to grow and add strength as he continues to develop and mature. Ran a 7.30 sixty with regular effort and long strides while he showed feel at the plate from the left side with a slightly uphill path to the ball as he was mostly working off his backside during BP. The load with his hands is quiet working back off shoulder, he found the barrel on multiple balls with backspin and the makings of a pure swing that should translate into some gap to gap power at the moment with an exit velo of 89 mph. Feet worked well defensively in the outfield as he approached balls and worked from a near high-3/4 slot and a velocity of 77 mph. Caissie shows strong fundamentals and lots of upside as a hitter who should lower his 60 time as he makes strength gains. 2021 to keep a close eye on.
