Physical: 6-foot-1, 190 pounds; Average, athletic build. 7.82 runner in the 60. Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman. Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are underneath the body with a seamless transfer. Moderate arm circle while using various arm slots. INF - 76 MPH.
6/08/22
Paolucci, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound 1B/3B for the Etobicoke Rangers has a lot of upside in his game. At the plate the hands were quiet, looking to punish baseball to the pull side and he caught the ball out front often. Paolucci does not get cheated with his swings and looks to drive the ball to the gaps. In the infield, Paolucci looked comfortable with good footwork behind his throws, has some carry behind them and works behind the baseball with his hands staying out front. Has put on some weight in the offseason and expect a big summer from a promising 2024.
