Our staff has gotten plenty of looks at 2024 RHP Makaio Cisneros (Central Florida commit) and it may have been the secondary stuff we’ve seen from him. The biggest difference was a firm slider with tight spin at 80-83mph, but was comfortable throwing all three offspeed pitches in any account. The fastball sat 87-89mph and was locating to both sides of the plate. The curveball sat 71-73mph with the changeup at 79-80mph and was working backwards, keeping hitters guessing and inducing plenty of weak contact.
3/19/23
2024 RHP Makaio Cisneros looked good during his outing today against the Cubs prospects. Strike pumper with an athletic, repeatable delivery with the ability to throw his 4-pitch mix out of the same arm slot. He spun the CB and SL for strikes and got multiple swing-and-misses on the CH for K’s. Cisneros ability to throw all of his pitches for strikes with consistency will keep him in the starting rotation at the next level. Strong outing from the UCF commit.

Cisneros, 6-foot-2, 165-pounds, continued to show his upside on the mound last night in his start in the Canadian Futures Showcase. The recent JNT member lives in the mid-upper 80’s with a legit 4-pitch mix. His FB has quality ASR with two different breaking-balls that both get s/m while mixing in a CH that fades. Cisneros has been up to 91 at the Future Games and has been one of the top arms in the country all year long.

We’ve had several looks at Cisneros early on in 2022 and he’s been a standout every single time. Recently ranked at No. 6 in our 2024 class, the right-hander has sat 85-87 all three times we’ve seen him and this past week is the first time we’ve been able to see how he that fastball works against hitters. He was able to locate down low for ground balls and called strikes, as well as upstairs for swings and misses. He looked to throw a pair of offspeed pitches, a curveball with depth at 72-73 and a slider at 76-77. Although he wasn’t to establish it, he threw a couple good sliders with sharp, late bite. Cisneros will be one to follow this summer.
4/15/22
Cisneros continue to impress early on in 2022, fresh of his updated ranking of No. 6 in the province. Cisneros fastball sat 85-87 (T87.5) and he continues to show feel for his offspeed stuff. Still plenty of refining to do for the athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-hander but there's a ton to work with.
