A 7.20 runner listed at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds stocky frame and some present strength. Hits from the right side with quiet hands and a small load, gets front foot down with a small toe tap and worked middle of the diamond in BP. Defensively, had actions and made all the plays on the dirt, longer arm action in the back with some carry to throws that had accuracy across the diamond, showed he could throw from multiple slots. A 2021 who is not flashy but can get the job done and have an impact in a positive way.
Williams, a 5-foot-10,160-pound 2021 grad is an outfielder currently ranked 110th overall. From the right side of the plate, there’s some quickness with a smooth path with bat speed through the hitting zone. His EV is 80 mph and will continue to improve as he matures. The actions work in the outfield, he comes through the ball and let’s off throws around the bag. He is also a 7.21, rounding off a robust toolset with plenty of time to continue to refine and add strength. Williams is another intriguing outfielder in an impressive 2021 class.
