Catcher for the Fieldhouse Pirates, Cottam was an attendee of the New Year Open. Behind the plate, the actions are clean, smooth transfer, accurate footwork, on-line throws up to 65. Developing actions in the infield, he has contributed to improve over the past year. He has the makings to develop into a solid infielder. At the plate, there's some looseness, and there aren't many restrictions. He's at his best when he gets his bat head out and works to the pull side. Physical maturity will be crucial—2022 grad to follow.
