Hicks, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound outfielder/pitcher is a member of the Vaughan Vikings MEL 18u club. Long and lanky, Hicks has room to add strength to his frame. He has some quickness with a fairly clean path towards the baseball, generating EV’s up to 83 mph. In the outfield the arm works out front up to 76 mph, and on the mound he is up 71 mph. He will throw a curveball in the 58-59 range with shape, and with added strength both his fastball and off-speed offerings will improve. Hicks is an interesting two-way player to watch out of the EBLO.
