There’s no underclassmen in the province who’s more fun to watch on the infield than 2027 SS Juan Cruz. Long, lanky frame at 5-foot-8, 115-pounds and glides around the infield with good feet, hands that play through the ball and the ability to throw from different slots and off-balance. Lots to like right now from Cruz with lots of development over the next 3-4 years.
2/18/22
Cruz, 5-foot-6, 107-pounds, was one of the youngest players at the JFG Trials and he held more than his own. Cruz plays the game with swag and it shows in his game. In the field, he has advanced movements for an 8th grader. She showed off his athleticism and smooth hands, with a 61 mph INF velo. In the box, Cruz showed a simple approach, staying up the middle hitting line drives with a 76 mph exit velo. Cruz is a very young prospect, and we look forward to watching his progression over the next few years.
