5-foot-10, 185-pound catcher with strong, stocky build. Al-Aaraj has a good feel for catching, receives well, quick release behind the plate, 2.22 pop time, clean footwork, velocity behind the plate was 66 mph. At the plate starts tall, hands high, collapses the lower-half on his swing, definitely more there, still finds the barrel, exit velocity was 70 mph. Al-Aaraj is a year away from graduation and with some fine-tuning he should project to be a well-rounded player.
