A small yet toolsy two-way player, Palmer shows some promise both on the bump and in the box. From the right side of the plate, shows good swing fundamentals and has quick hands through the zone. Exit velocity up to 75 mph off the tee. In the outfield, has clean arm action, plays through the ball with some aggressiveness and shows quick transfers. Clean arm action translates over to the mound where Palmer stays balanced and shows some athleticism. Ball comes out from a high-¾ slot, Palmer’s fastball tops out at 76 mph, while his curveball sits 60-62 mph with an 11/5 shape. Shows feel for changeup which sits between 66-68 mph. Palmer will be a nice two-way player to watch over the next few years and with added strength, the 2021 grad will continue to make progress into the right direction.
