3.31.18 A long-limbed and projectable 6-foot two-way player who will get stronger as he fills out and matures. At the plate, swings it from the right side with a toe tap load and some bat speed through the zone with an uphill bat path. Best swings came when Canjar was able to finish his swing and get full extension. With added strength, could develop some gap-to-gap pop. Shows some arm quickness on his throws in the infield, throws have some carry. On the bump, Canjar works from a high-¾ slot and short arm action. Fastball sits 73-74 mph with run to his arm side. Capable of spinning the curveball which sits 66-67 mph with 11/5 shape and some late bite. Doesn’t get much velocity separation on his changeup which sits 69-70 mph, but shows some arm side fading action. Canjar shows tools both at the plate and with his bat and will be an interesting follow as he continues to mature and fill out physically.
