Pineau is an arm we’ve seen a lot of over the years after he impressed at the 2019 15U Ray Carter Cup. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound right-hander has a projectable frame with plenty of room for growth and additional velocity to his fastball that already sits 85-86. He moves well on the mound and there’s feel for his secondary stuff. He throws a curveball with downward action and 11/5 shape. An exciting arm who’s pitched on the national stage many times, including an invitation to Team Canada’s fall instructional camp.

Pineau, a right-hander from Thunder Bay, was a solid on the mound for Oshawa Friday night. It’s an athletic delivery with downhill plane from a high ¾ arm slot. There’s arm speed with good rotation, allowing for him to hover right around the 80-81 mph mark. He flashed an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with big break, he has feel and comfort throwing the pitch, and it will be a useful pitch for him down the road. He’s a projectable arm with upside who will be followed closely within a couple years.

5-foot-11, 150-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.33 runner. Upright and open stance. Toe tap trigger and hand load. Good swing plane. Mid/pull approach with ground ball and line drive contact. Average contact and barrel. 77 mph exit velocity. OF- Aggressive feet to field and can get long through release. Works high to field with stiff glove. Average carry and accuracy with 80 mph arm strength.
