Jack Falcone, an uncommitted senior had an 82 mph exit velo off the tee but was more in the 87-88 range off the Rapsodo during BP with a launch angle in the 25-27 degree range. There is feel and comfortability in the box, and while he was more to his pull side on this day, we’ve seen him be able to spray the ball across the diamond.

ACADEMIC GAMES II
5-foot-11, 185-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder. Ran a 4.65 home to first at the workout. The frame has a chance to be physical and he has athletic actions on the field. The glove is soft, the feet need to remain active during the fielding process as opposed to fielding the ball flat footed. Threw 76 mph across the diamond at the workout. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. The setup is wide in base, small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is slightly uphill to contact. The hands work freely to the ball.
Tee Exit Velocity- 83 mph
INF Velocity- 76 mph
2.18.19 Falcone, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound SS out of the Mississauga Majors organization participated in our first event of the year. From the left-side, Falcone displays quickness in his bat and the ability to shorten up and put bat on ball. There is consistency in his swing and his body movements which allow him to have success. Behind the plate, he will need to improve the movements in his lower half, but he is still able to get throws up to 69 mph with 2.45-2.52 pop-times. Falcone’s hitting ability made a strong impression on us and we look forward to watching him in the future.
