2/20/17 Chialtas is a stronger 5-foot-11, 170-pounds with more strength and muscle to frame. Ran a 7.58 in the 60 with regular effort as he should continue to improve as he gets older. Defensively, received well and showed flexibility in lower half, transfers were clean on throws and hovered in the 2.20 - 2.25 range. When on top of the ball throws had carry to bag with a velocity of 68 mph from the crouch. Offensively, swings it from the left side. Balanced, quiet setup with small toe tap to load, hands are back and relaxed with good feel to baseball, finds the barrel and does good job of getting hips through. Bat path works through the hitting zone with slight uphill finish, drove balls to back of cage, repeats swing well and was able to use the whole cage when needed. 2019 grad with upside as he continues to improve, the bat plays and will track Chialtas moving forward as we look to round out Future Games roster. 60-Yard Dash: 7.58 Exit Velocity: 81 C Velocity: 68 Pop Time: 2.20
6/26/16 Left-handed hitting catcher listed at 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Still room to add muscle to frame. At the plate, hands are in good position to hit, gets loaded into back side, looseness to swing as he worked to stay inside and up the middle, showed bat speed for age with 80 mph exit velo. Behind the dish, strong grasp of the fundamentals, relaxed hands with quick, short transfer. Actions were clean, just needs to add arm strength. One to keep an eye on as he continues to develop. 60-Yard Dash: 7.75 Exit Velocity: 80 C Velocity: 68 Pop Time: 2.18
