2.19.18 At 6-foot, 155-pounds, Daniel Freeman has plenty of room to fill out as he continues to mature and get stronger. Freeman has a quiet approach from the right side of the plate. Starts off with a wide stance, Daniel has subtle leg kick during the load and slightly brings his hands back into a proper launch position. Hands stay loose, has a short and easy stroke, able to find the barrell, will develop more pop as he fills out and adds strength. In the outfield, the arm works cleanly from a ¾ slot and was clocked at 75 mph. Freeman showed some of his tools and looks like an exciting prospect from the 2020 class. As he gets stronger and more athletic, he will only continue to get better and show more results especially at the plate.
10.22.17 2019 grad listed at 6-foot, 150-pounds and rom to carry more size and strength. Ran a 7.60 sixty with sound form, can see this increasing as he adds strength. At the plate, right-handed bat with quiet actions, small pickup of front foot and minimal load in the hands, gets himself in ready position to hit and barreled up handful of balls down his pull side and into left-centre. Creates separation and bat takes a slightly uphill path to contact. Arm is clean with a loose arm swing in the back, ball had proper rotation coming out the hand. Intriguing 2019 grad with confident actions at the plate. Good chance to add strength with some hit tool already there.
