Gentes, a 5-foot-10, 155-pound outfielder showed well at our first hitters-only event. Gentes sprayed the ball to all fields in multiple rounds of BP, he’s a bit stiff in his follow through, but when he’s on time he hits line drives. There’s potential to be a gap-to-gap hitter with added strength. He’s balanced in the box and gets his swing on plane. This was our first look at Gentes, and we look forward to seeing his progression in the future. Gentes had an exit velo of 87mph.
