A lean 6-foot, 185-pound frame with some strength in the lower half and room to add more. On the mound, works from a slightly up-tempo clean and simple delivery that he repeats well. Uses a moderate leg kick, strides closed, and recoils on the finish. Arm action is quick with moderate length in the back before coming through an over the top slot. Fastball sits 78-79 mph with downhill tilt and mostly strikes. Curveball shows near 12/6 shape with rolling action, 67-68 mph. Changeup has some fade at 72-73 mph. Overall, Ackerley will a be a prospect to watch as his frame continues to develop and he adds arm speed.
