10/27/19

A long and projectable 6-foot-6, 205-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a deliberate and smooth delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding long down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and almost straight down out of the break before coming through an over the top slot with some looseness and arm speed. Fastball flashes some cut with downhill tilt at 80-83 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball has near 12/6 shape with late depth, a few strikes. In the game Bookout filled up the zone, punching out one of the five batters he faced.

10/27/19

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound primary right-handed pitcher has a long, projectable frame with a starter’s body. Recorded a 7.65 60-yard dash. The left-handed hitter begins from a tall, even stance utilizing a quick lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Sink into the lower-half combined with hip-shoulder separation allowed for the barrel to whip through a slightly uphill path through the zone yielding an impressive 91 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee. Found consistent barrels during batting practice with backspin to the pull-side gap.
