A 6-foot-1, 175-pound proportional frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, works from an average tempo, simpel delivery that he repeats well. Uses an up-down-and out leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing inline. Arm action is moderate, fluid and controlled in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with slight arm side run and filled up the strike zone. Slider has 2/8 shape with some late depth, slows arm speed, 65-68 mph. Changeup flashes some fade, 71-72 mph, slows some arm speed some. Overall, Loflin’s much improved command to complement his high level velo makes him a prospect for many colleges to follow this spring.
