Gabe Clyden: SS/2B, (2022) Piedmont, OK. 5-foot-8, 120-pound slim frame. In the box, Clyden had an exit velocity of 77 mph. Began in a tall stance with a low load, then used a toe tap. Bat speed is average, shows level swing plane and low finish. In his round he found some barrels. Line drive approach. Clean while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph; has a fluid exchange, sure hands and choppy feet. Had a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with decent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.88.

Displayed a lean, athletic 5-foot-8, 120-pound frame with room to add size and strength. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a barrel that points back towards the catcher. A short lift-and-replace stride allowed for a flat barrel path to enter the zone yielding a 72 mph bat-exit velocity. Hit into a stiff front side while showing some feel for his hands. Recorded a 7.69 60-yard dash. The primary middle infielder demonstrated a comfortable, smooth approach to the ball arriving on time with regularity. A low center of gravity and momentum towards the target generated a 75 mph arm-strength out of a high ¾ arm-slot with a moderate takeaway.
