Devin Qualls: C/1B, (2021) Lincoln Christian, OK. 6-foot-1, 210-pound sturdy frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter showed power in the box with an exit velocity of 94 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a tight load, then used a leg kick just before his swing. Bat speed is explosive, shows upward swing plane and a back foot finish. He found some barrels with tons of loud contact. Pull side approach. While catching, he had a pop time of 2.02-2.27, he produced a position velocity of 71 mph during throw downs; showed a quick exchange, average feet and soft hands. Narrow setup with average flexibility. Using a short arm action, showed decent accuracy to the bag from an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.63.
