A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball

Body: 6-foot-1, 170-pound lean and athletic frame with room for added strength and size in the future.
Hit: RHH. At the plate starts with an open and narrow stance with an upright posture. Hands get set at shoulder height with a relaxed back elbow. Utilizes a two-tap stride to get back to neutral. Slow load into a slight weight transfer into the back side. Hands work quickly through the zone and stays behind the ball well. Slight uphill bat path and likes to work the ball up in the air. Strong rotation with good extension with the hands.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity off the tee and 86 mph exit velocity during BP.
Arm: RH. INF-80 mph. High ¾ arm slot with short arm action on the back and longer release.
Defense: In the infield attacks the ball with longer and slower steps to work around the ball towards the target. Fields the ball out in front of the body with a developing feel for glove action and soft hands. Shows a good slow roller technique with good rhythm and clean transfer out of the glove.
Run: 6.75 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rocker style delivery with weight working east/west into a high balance point. Slight coil with shoulders and hips at balance point slight push off the rubber. Works from the first base side of the rubber and lands directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum headed towards the plate. Hands work tight to the body with hand break low around the belt.
Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with clean arm action on the backend and heavy recoil at release.
FB: 79-84 mph, shows good command and has heavy arm side run at times.
CB: 66-67 mph, large horizontal movements with big shape and good average spin metrics (2323 avg RPM).
10/27/19
A lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 155-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high and slightly coiling leg kick before striding down the mound and hopping to the finish. Arm action has moderate length in the back making a quick and fluid circle before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 75-77 mph with consistent cut, mostly strikes. Curveball has rolling acitch with 11/5 shape at 66-67 mph, some strikes. In the game, Sorrells retired three of the four batters he faced.
10/27/19
Demonstrated feel for a lean 6-foot-1, 155-pound frame with athleticism and projectability. The right-handed hitter begins with a narrow, open stance utilizing a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. Hands start low at the midline of the chest and move back for stretch upon load. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path in the zone while hitting into a soft front-side. Created backspin to the pull side registering an 83 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee. Showcased adequate footwork while playing low to the ground allowing for range to both sides. A soft glove hand and solid transfers yielded accurate 78 mph throws across the infield out of a long, high ¾ arm-slot.
