A lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame with broad shoulders and long legs. On the mound, the right-hander works from a simple and average tempo delivery rhythm and a high leg kick before gliding controlled down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long, fluid, and controlled in the back before coming through a near over the top slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt with cut to the glove side and run to the arm side at 84-89 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows big 11/5 depth with late depth at times and spinning out other, some strikes at 73-76 mph. Changup flashes heavy fade at 72-76 mph. In the game, when Pierce got in sink, he punched out three batters in a row.

On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high up-down-and-out leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced towards the dish. Arm action is long, loose, and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball sits 85-88 mph and touches 89 with consistent arm-side run. Curveball shows excellent late and sharp depth with 11/5 shape and some command at 73-74 mph. Changeup shows consistent fade and depth at 75-77 mph. In the game, Pierce faced eight batters punching out four, walking two and only allowing one hit.

On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly uptempo delivery with a high up, down, and out leg kick, finishing in line with the dish. Arm action is very long and loose in the back, making a big circle before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball shows some downhill tilt at 83-85 mph and touched 86 when he reaches back, mostly strikes. Curveball shows some big 11/5 shape at 65-68 mph, developing command. Changeup has consistent run and depth, already advanced with a chance to be plus in the future, 67-68 mph, mostly strikes.
