Brett McComas: RHP/C, (2022) Deer Creek, OK. 5-foot-10, 152-pound slim frame. During batting practice, Mccomas clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Starts in a tall stance with a small load, then uses a long stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed was average, had flat swing plane and high finish. He found some barrels through his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, had consistent pop times of 2.06-2.33, best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 83 mph; had sure hands, rhythmic footwork and a developing exchange. Tons of flexibility and staggered setup. Capable in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; shows developing feet, a clean exchange and firm hands. Used a short arm action and an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.41.

On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with some rhythm and a high coiling leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing slightly to the first base side. Arm action is long and loose in the back, pulling through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball shows cut to the glove side at 84-86 mph, some strikes. Changeup shows consistent late fade, thrown with full arm speed at 74-78 mph, mostly strikes. Slider is advanced with late 10/4 shape and hard biting action at 71-73 mph, some strikes.

The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path through the hitting zone with some lower half glide while hitting into a stiff front side. Demonstrated advanced feel for his hands while finding consistent barrels off the tee with lift to the pull-side gap. Registered an 84 mph bat-exit velocity and recorded a 7.32 60-yard dash. The primary backstop showed adequate receiving skills with a moderately soft glove hand at catch point. Pop times ranged from 2.09-2.33 on accurate throws of 80 mph from the crouch. Utilized solid straight line footwork with a long transfer which, with improvement, will cut pop times drastically. Flashed adequate blocking skills creating soft walls to both sides. The outfielder displayed solid footwork while arriving to the ball on time with regularity. Momentum played through the target yielding accurate 90 mph arm-strength with carry out of a whippy, high ¾ arm-slot.

Showing consistent accuracy to the bag, he used a compact arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.58.
