Zack Whetzel: RHP, (2022) Nordonia, OH. 6-foot-3, 205-pound. Solid on the mound, using a loose arm action he showed good arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Displays downhill shoulders and a tall balance point. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 86-90 mph. Shows heavy movement. (Max spin 1898; Avg 1773). Shows some sweeping action on his 11/5 curveball (71-73). (Max spin 2057; Avg 2021). He shows slight fading action on his changeup (75-79). Threw a 10/4 slider (79-82) with late tight action. (Max spin 2091; Avg 2034). His knuckleball had deceiving action.
Zachary Whetzel: RHP/3B, (2022) Nordonia, OH. 6-foot-2, 205-pound athletic frame. On the mound, showed a quick arm action and a ¾ arm angle with good arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 82-85 mph; shows glove side control and running action. His 11/5 curveball (69-72) shows plus action. Showed arm side command and fading action on his changeup (76-79). His 11/5 slider (78-81) has plus action.

Delivery Notes: On the mound Whetzel uses a fairly quick tempo down the mound and has a bit of a crossfire action to his delivery. He throws from a low ¾ arm slot that creates some good natural deception with his delivery.
Fastball: The fastball was 79-81 mph and mostly true through the zone.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1640-1720
Curveball: His breaking ball was 65-67 mph with slurvey shape and decent depth and bite at times.
