Body Type: Physical frame with strength to lower half. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Three-pitch righty with feel for the zone. Works with good pace on the mound. Ball comes out well and easy. Looks the part out there. Fastball: 81-83 mph. 1800-2000 spin rate with low 90s spin efficiency. Heavy pitch. Curveball: Spins it well, showing sharp action especially when down in the zone. Changeup: Flashed it a few times. Playable offering that is a nice 3rd option. Pitchability: Strike thrower.
Body Type: Physical frame with strength to lower half. Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance prior to getting into his simple, yet efficient loading sequence. Hit: Physical kid with bat speed. Stays inside the baseball well, working through a middle-back approach in BP. Generates natural ball flight. Power: Middle of the Lineup type. Offensive Projection: Field: Moves well off the bag over at first base. Hands really work, showing well above average ball skills. Solid defender over there. Throw: Big arm for the position. Defensive Projection: 1B.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 200-poundphysical frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Smooth arm action with some lower half involvement. Absolutely more velocity to come with a more explosive lower half throughout the delivery. Fastball: 81-83mph. Average spin rate at 2,100rpm’s with mid 90% efficiency. Displays command on both sides of the plate. Curveball: 63-67mph. 11/5 movement with some late break. Command needs to be increased to make this pitch an above average offering. Pitchability: In the zone most of the time with fastball, needs to be more consistent with curveball.
Swing Mechanics: Smooth and simple load into lower half. Hit: Level bat path with swing showing a bit more strength than speed. All fields hitter with a bit more juice to pull side. Power: Present gap abilities. Offensive Projection: TBD. Field: Corner frame/skill set. Quiet actions with quality ball skills. Throw: Ball comes out well. Above average strength with accuracy. Defensive Projection: Corner guy.
2/03/19
Body Type: 5-foot-10 195-pound prospect with a thicker medium build. Average length. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot and shows above average athleticism in the delivery. Fastball: 80-83 mph fastball showed some good arm side run with fade. Good command with the pitch to both sides of the plate. Curveball: 66-68 mph breaking ball had a slurvey shape with looser spin than desired. Will benefit from increasing arm speed on the pitch and trying to throw it harder. Changeup: 71-73 mph changeup showed some depth with minimal movement to the arm side. Good command of the pitch to both sides of the plate. Pitchability: Showed a 3 pitch mix with the fastball and changeup being the most advanced of the three. Breaking ball shows potential when thrown harder with more confidence. Role: Current starter type with a 3 pitch mix and good command and movement on both his fastball and changeup. Refining the breaking ball while adding some velocity will be important if he wants to start at the next level.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a balanced setup. Uses a front hip hinge load. Showed a good bat path with natural lift. Overall, a pull approach with a balanced finish. Hit: Good bat to ball ability. Power: 90 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Presently shows a pull approach with natural lift. Already would be a guy with gap to gap power. Should be a guy who adds strength as he matures and turns into more of a power threat with the natural lift to his swing. Field: In the outfield he shows decent foot work and angles to the ball. Plays through the ball well and has a quick release. Throw: 73 mph across the diamond. 82 mph across the diamond. Run: 7.34 60 yard dash. Defensive Projection: Presently would project as a corner OF type at the next level.

A two-way prospect with versatility defensively. Worked out in both the outfield and third base. In the otufield he plays under control with smooth feet. Corner type skills set with an accurate arm. At third base he uses direct footwork off the bat, cutting down distance prior to fielding. Glove is reliable and transfer is quick. Arm is loose at both spots projecting for more strength down the road. At the plate he starts in a tall setup from the right side. Handsy hitter with a slightly downhill path. Offers more present strength than he does speed to hands. Contact type bat with line drive abilities. On the bump the right-hander has an uptempo pace to his lower effort delivery. Gets down the mound well creating energy through a drop and drive load. Compact arm action through a high-¾ slot. Fastball stays mostly true sitting 73-76 mph with signs of more to come. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with gradual action at 61-62 mph.

5-foot-10, 185 pound prospect had a wide stance behind the plate that lead to some difficulty transitioning into his throws. By narrowing his stance up, he will be more mobile and feet will work quicker allowing him to reduce his pop time from 2.19. Catrone’s transfer helps make up some lost time as well as his arm strength (72 mph). From the right-handed batter’s box, he has a level swing that gets to the ball well making good contact. He can create better separation in his load leading to more power in his swing and improving upon his 78 mph exit velo which was still impressive for his age. Lower half looked fine and will get more use out of it as he gets older and a better feel for his swing. On the mound, the right handed pitcher throws through a 3/4 slot with little effort in delivery. Average arm speed. Displays consistent command with his 75-80 mph fastball that offers some lite arm-side run. Breaking ball features gradual 10/4 movement towards the plate while sitting between 64-65 mph. Uses fastball arm speed with his 65-66 mph changeup that also displays some diving action.
