Zachary Carty: 1B/OF, (2022) Moeller, OH. 6-foot-2, 215-pound. Solid during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 89 mph. (62.37 mph bat speed average). (17.71 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall closed stance with a small controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is above average and shows a level swing plane. He found multiple barrels through his rounds. Pull side approach. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 79 mph; showed athletic feet, a natural fluid exchange, and firm hands. Had consistent accuracy to the bag and a compact arm action.
6/16/20
6/16/20 Position Player Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Gets load going early and maintains fluidity throughout. Stays inside the baseball nicely, working mostly the middle of the field in BP. Physical look to him in the box. Power:Flashed gap abilities. Strength and bat speed are both above average tools for class. Max BP Exit:83 mph Max BP Distance: 269 ft Offensive Projection:Run producer skill set. Field:Very solid defender over at first base. Gets off the bag well with athletic, efficient feet and shows well above average ball skills. Throw:More than enough strength for the first base position. Defensive Projection:1B.

2/17/19
2/17/19 Position
Body Type: 6-foot 180-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: Starts in a balanced setup and uses a mini leg kick and hovers before getting his front foot down. Shows an uphill bat path but keeps his barrel through the zone fairly well.
Hit: Good barrel control.
Power: 81 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Swing shows some potential. Keeps his barrel through the zone and uses some athleticism through his swing. Will need to continue to add strength to help his raw power.
Field: At 3B he showed average hands and footwork. Didn’t take efficient angles through the ball and would ‘squat’ a bit too much when fielding balls. At 1B he showed solid footwork around the bag and a feel for the angles he needed to take to balls.
Throw: 74 mph across the diamond.
Run: 5.16 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Presently would seem to be a better fit at 1B at the next level if his bat can carry him there.
2/17/19 Pitching
Body Type: 6-foot 180-pound prospect.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Starts in an overall crouched position once he comes set in his delivery which minimizes his athleticism and fluidity. Throws through a ¾ arm slot.
Fastball: 74-76 mph fastball showed mostly some sink and fade but did show a cutting action at times.
Breaking Ball: 64-68 mph breaking ball showed a slider type action with minimal bite.
Changeup: 65-70 mph changeup showed similar action to his fastball and he maintained arm speed well on the pitch.
Pitchability: Pretty good feel for his three pitch mix.
Role: Present stuff would profile best as a bullpen arm at the next level.
6/27/18 A third baseman with the frame for the position. Attacks the baseball off the bat linearly. Would be aided by creating more angles off the bat to play through the ball more naturally. Reliable glove with above average ball skills. Arm plays on the left side. A right-handed hitter at the plate that gets things going with a leg kick timing mechanism. Hands stay simple through load prior to launching the barrel through the zone on a slightly uphill path. Run producer type with above average natural tools. His loft to path allows him to lift the baseball naturally without compromising bat speed. 60-yard dash: 8.09 Infield Velocity: 73 Exit Velocity: 70
