William Owens: OF/LHP, (2022) Beachwood, OH. 5-foot-10, 165-pound. Solid during batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was efficient, and displayed a simple level swing plane. He found some barrels in his round. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 71 mph; shows soft hands, a developing exchange, and athletic feet. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.76. Capable on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and an compact arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows some effort. Curveball (54-55 mph), changeup (62-63 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 65-67 mph.

Hit: Left handed hitter with a wide stance approach with quick hands. Average mechanics, needs improvement/development.

Offensive Projection: Front half of lineup potential.
Field: Aggressive approach when fielding, slows down when going to throw.

Offensive Projection: Presently would profile as a line drive singles type approach.
Field: In the outfield he attacks the ball and plays through it relatively well. Showed a slower release and could improve his footwork.
Throw: 65 mph from the outfield.

Defensive Projection: Presently would profile as a LF only type guy at the next level.
