6/21/16 6-foot, 180-pound athletic frame. A talented right-handed pitcher with a very easy delivery. Arm action is loose and effortless as he works through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 81-83 mph and he is able to work the pitch to both sides of the plate. His best offspeed pitch is his power, 10/4 curveball that has late break at 74-75 mph. Also showed feel for a changeup at 73-77 mph. With his low effort delivery and feel for three pitches he profiles as a starter at the next level. At the plate he starts open and uses a leg kick to incorporate his lower half. Has a rhythmic hands back load before getting through the zone on an uphill path. Has some batspeed through the zone and reached a top exit velocity of 81 mph. In the infield he uses athletic footwork and showed confidence in his hands. Remains fluid throughout his fielding process and threw with impressive, 86 mph arm strength across the diamond.
2/20/16 6-foot, 175-pound prospect with average, athletic frame. Slow, deliberate tempo to start his delivery with some aggressiveness at the end. Steps outside of his body to initiate momentum out of the windup. Fastball sat 81-83 mph, but needs to show consistent command. Shows some quickness in his arm. Changeup is thrown near fastball arm speed at 77-78 mph. Breaking ball tended to be up in the zone at 72-74. A right-handed hitter that starts slightly open and uses a double tap load/stride to get back to even. Hands stay relatively simple which allows him to take a short, compact path to the ball. Had some batspeed through the zone and registered a top exit velocity of 84 mph. In the infield he showed the ability to make all the plays with confidence in his glove. Would like to see him create better angles with his footwork prior to fielding position. He threw accurately, with 84 mph arm strength across the infield. Ran a 4.51 from home to first.
1/24/16 5-foot-7, 175-pound thin build. At the plate he uses excellent rhythm and a double-tap load for timing. Does a good job of loading his hips as he strides forward and keeping a flat bat path through the zone. Exit velocity was 81 mph and he ran a 4.59 from home to first. In the infield he did a good job of playing low and fielding the ball out in front. Using long, clean arm action from a low ¾ slot he showed of 83 mph arm strength across the diamond. On the mound he shows good direction to the plate, lands square to the plate in his follow through. Throws with a long arm action into a high ¾ slot. Three pitch mix with the fastball sitting 78-82 mph. Curveball sits 70-74 mph but lacks significant depth. Changeup sits 73-75 mph.
