2/18/18 6-foot, 185 pound outfield prospect showed a nice glove fielding it attempt cleanly. Footwork displayed positive signs of ability and is still developing in taking better routes to the ball. Throwing velocity was 74 mph to home. There’s a lot to work with in the box with Eads. A physical kid with impressive strength/bat speed through the zone. Hands can get stiff at times but when they remain loose he creates a ton of whip through the zone. A middle of the lineup type with a skill set that translate to the next level. Load is fluid and he launches from a balanced setup. A strong kid that produces well above average bat speed. Bat has some quickness to it as it gets through the zone on a slightly downhill path. Present gap pop with the ability to produce consistent backspin. Recorded multiple hits in game. Behind the plate he starts in a lower crouch. Uses preset footwork in defensive eval. Feet work well as he gets out of his stance. Exchange skills are well above average for class. Really good athlete behind the plate.
